Christmassy Charpentier at Wigmore Hall

December 8, 2017
7:30pm

This event has passed.

Join us for a festive concert featuring three of Charpentier’s most popular works, conducted by our very own Christian Curnyn.

In nativitatem Domini canticum, H416 – a pastoral elegy recounting the very night of Jesus’ birth

Messe de Minuit pour Noel, H9  – popular with choirs the world over, using traditional Christmas carols in an unique setting of the Midnight Mass liturgy

Te Deum, H146 – the celebratory and celebrated motet, featuring the Marche en Rondeau, otherwise known as the Eurovision theme!

Some of our favourite singers, Mhairi Lawson, Samuel Boden, Nick Pritchard and Robert Davies, form the core of our team, along with the Chorus of Early Opera Company and the Orchestra boosted by trumpet and drums.

Tickets are already on sale at Wigmore Hall – call 020 7935 2141 or via Wigmore Hall website.
