We’ve been looking back over what people said about early music last year, and this lovely piece by Alexandra Cochlan in The Spectator stands out.  Extolling the virtues of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, Solomon’s Knot production of L’Ospedale, Caccini at Brighton Early Music Festival, WNO’s Orlando, and the extraordinary commitment by St John’s Smith Square to position itself at the forefront of all kinds of baroque repertoire, she asks
